Over the course of 40 years, the Notre Dame Nature Study Club (NDNSC) has been a pioneer in environmental outreach and collaboration, making significant contributions both nationally and internationally. Through its continuous efforts, NDNSC has not only educated the general public of Bangladesh on environmental and conservation issues but has also actively participated in global initiatives, using modern technology to extend its reach and impact.
National and International Outreach
NDNSC's outreach has expanded significantly over the years, engaging communities at both local and global levels. The digital age has further empowered NDNSC to host international virtual events, such as the recent 3rd South Asian Climate Conclave held in Nepal in December 2023. These virtual platforms have enabled NDNSC to collaborate with like-minded individuals and organizations worldwide, fostering discussions on nature preservation, climate change, and environmental stewardship.
One of NDNSC’s flagship events is the National Nature Summit, which serves as a platform for young nature enthusiasts from across Bangladesh to share knowledge, test their skills, and propose innovative ideas. Since its 13th edition, the Nature Summit has been made accessible to students from all divisions of Bangladesh through a divisional round, ensuring that every region has a voice in shaping the country’s green future.

Raising Awareness on Climate Change and Sound Pollution
As part of its mission to nurture the leaders of tomorrow, NDNSC has been instrumental in raising awareness about climate change and sound pollution. Through campaigns, seminars, and collaborative projects, the club has empowered students to think critically about environmental challenges and take actionable steps toward creating a more sustainable future. NDNSC’s outreach programs aim to ensure that youth are equipped with the knowledge and passion needed to protect the environment for generations to come.
Collaborations and Partnerships
NDNSC's efforts have been bolstered through its collaborations with various local and international organizations. Notably, the club has partnered with the Ministry of Environment to raise awareness about sound pollution, with the goal of creating a stress-free and healthier environment. NDNSC has also built lasting partnerships with globally recognized organizations such as USAID, IWFM, and IUCN, working together to further its environmental conservation efforts and expand its influence.
One of the notable international collaborations is the South Asian Climate Conclave, held in Nepal. This event aimed to foster environmental awareness among students from both Bangladesh and Nepal, promoting cross-border friendship and collaboration in the fight against climate change. Through these partnerships, NDNSC continues to create future visionaries in the field of nature conservation and sustainability.
A Shared Commitment to the Environment
NDNSC’s outreach and collaboration efforts highlight the club’s dedication to fostering a global movement toward environmental sustainability. By educating and empowering youth, partnering with influential organizations, and participating in international initiatives, NDNSC remains committed to its mission of protecting nature and inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders.
